Shale Inhibition: This product adsorbs onto clay particle surfaces, effectively preventing their hydration and subsequent dispersion. By inhibiting clay activity, it helps maintain a more stable wellbore environment, reducing the risk of formation damage and improving overall drilling efficiency.
Rheology Modifier: It acts as a rheology modifier, aiding in the maintenance of optimal viscosity and gel strength within the drilling fluid. This ensures the fluid can effectively suspend cuttings, transport them to the surface, and provide proper hydrostatic pressure control.
Filtration Control: The product assists in the formation of a thin yet tough filter cake along the wellbore. This filter cake minimizes fluid loss into the formation, helping to preserve fluid properties and protect the reservoir from potential damage.

Recommended Application & Dosage
For shale inhibition applications, the recommended dosage range is 0.1% to 0.3% by volume of the total drilling fluid. When used primarily for viscosity enhancement, a lower dosage of 0.05% to 0.2% by volume is typically sufficient. To ensure proper activation and performance, always pre-hydrate the product in a dedicated mixing tank for a minimum of 45 to 60 minutes prior to incorporating it into the active mud system. This pre-hydration step is critical to achieve full activation and optimal dispersion within the drilling fluid.
