High-Temperature FCLS Drilling Fluid |Controlled Eco-Compliant Thinners for Deepwell Oil Drilling ISO Certified

As FCLS (Ferro-Chrome Ligno-sulfonate) is a thinner remarkably effective at high temperature and under potential strong contamination conditions with coexistent FL control ability, FCLS drilling fluid system is composed of FCLS and accompanying additives. It can be used for drilling deep wells (up to 6000m) of complicated geological conditions with the limitations that the Cr^6+ possibly emitted by FCLS is terribly harmful to environment.

Functions and Characteristics

Application

1).pH control.

For proper use of FCLS mud, control of pH in the range of 9.5 ~ 11.5 with caustic soda is a key factor. The quantity of caustic soda needed varies from case to case according to the mud properties required and the amount of Cl

-, Ca²+ and Mg²+ in the mud.

2).Rheology control.

(1) Addition of FCLS may result in a very sudden and drastic decrease of mud rheological properties so that the amount of FCLS should be carefully determined by pilot tests and the addition of FCLS should be done in more than one circulation circle and with concentrated observations.

Packaging & Storage
