Product Name Introduction
Lub is plastic beads of divinyl benzene styrene copolymer used in drilling fluid as solid lubricant to reduce down hole torque and drag.The commercial products of them are divided in three groups by their size coarse, medium and fine. These plastic beads are solid enough and not break down in pieces under extreme stresses or impact and chemically inert or inactive with water and drilling fluid additives. The color of them is usually white to yellowish. They can be recovered by using shale shaker screens of corresponding mesh. The routine dosage of plastic beads is in the range of 5.0 % ~ 8.0 %.
